Personal Statement

As a fifth-generation member of my family's farm, I have witnessed firsthand the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication that go in to building a successful operation. I also understand that every farm transition is unique. Significant investments of time, money, and resources are made with the hope of creating opportunities for the next generation. Yet, uncertainty, family dynamics, and the emotions tied to a farm's legacy can make succession planning one of the most challenging conversations a family faces. While these discussions can be difficult, they do not have to be faced alone. Through education, trusted advisors, and intentional planning, farm families can navigate challenges, find common ground, and develop a transition plan that reflects their goals while preserving the operation for future generations.
