  4. Seeds for Success: NW Ohio Small Farm Conference and Trade Show

    Join us for a day-long conference and trade show filled with sessions addressing legal issues, horticulture, livestock production, specialty crop production and farm management for small farms, along with educational sessions for youth.  OSU's Ag & Resource Law Program will teach two legal sessions on "Ag Law Risks, Liabilities, Protection, and Law" and "Opportunities to Sell Food from Home and Farm."

LPA, who will discuss legal options for transfering land and equipment ownership, retirement, and health care planning, all with a focus on keeping the family farm viable into the future.  Part one will take place on Monday, January 28 with Extension Educator David Marrison, who will address family communication, transitioning management, and getting your affairs in order.

  9. Farms and Fun: Reducing Liability Risk for Agritourism Webinar

    The agritourism industry is in a growth pattern.  The number of farms receiving income from agritourism in the U.S. expanded from 23,350 in 2007 to 33,161 in 2012 and agritourism income grew from $566 million to $704 million, with an average income of over $24,000 per farm.   Research suggests that agritourism operations will continue on this track in the future due to persistent consumer interest in food and farming coupled with an economic need to augment farm income through diversification.

  10. 2018 OSU Income Tax School Ag Issues Webinar
